Rekordverdächtiges Penthouse in Dubai für 136 Millionen US-Dollar verkauft

A new sales record has been set in Dubai for a home that doesn’t even exist yet. The opulent penthouse sold for over $136 million, making it the most expensive price ever paid for a penthouse in the city. This shattered the previous record of approximately $114 million earlier this year.

What’s remarkable is that this newly crowned priciest pad is currently just a plan, but once complete, it will sprawl out over 22,000 square feet atop the soon-to-be-built Como Residences which will stand nearly 1,000 feet tall.

The buyer of this eye-wateringly expensive transaction hails from Eastern Europe and can expect to move into their new residence in three or so years as construction is expected to be completed by late 2027. The luxury apartment building is located on Palm Jumeirah, an exclusive archipelago known for its glamorous properties.

The penthouse comes with lavish amenities including its own pool and access to the building’s infinity pool and lap pool. With its height, it also offers unmatched views of Dubai.

Despite Dubai’s reputation for luxurious real estate, the Como Residences’ penthouse represents something rare in the market according to local agent Chris Bowell. It’s considered a very exclusive property and trophy asset due to its size and exclusivity. There are few large-scale penthouses like this available unless they are under construction, showing that high-end buyers are willing to wait for such unique properties.
